This European comic book bestseller has acquired legendary status, setting the standard for quality popular comics. Its author, E.P. Jacobs, had a love of excess that was best articulated through his scientific inventions, which included his ingenious supersonic plane/submarine, the Espadon.
Following the death of E.P. Jacobs, Editions Blake & Mortimer was taken over by Dargaud, which commissioned new comic books and developed the brand.
